3D Printed Car Cup Holders, Inserts & Console Adapters
Cup holders and console inserts are strong candidates for vehicle-specific 3D printing because small differences in console shape can determine whether a generic accessory fits at all.
Match the exact vehicle
Search by year, make and model before choosing a cup-holder design. Console revisions can happen within the same vehicle generation.
Check the mating surface
Compare opening width, depth, taper and nearby controls. For adapters, also measure the bottle or cup size the design is intended to hold.
Plan for cabin heat
PLA is useful for prototypes but can deform in a hot parked vehicle. PETG or ASA are common starting points for non-structural cabin parts depending on temperature and printer capability.
Prototype efficiently
For a large console piece, test-print the mating ring or mounting section before committing to the entire model.
